Bernd Weeke

Bernd Weeke

Bernd will take care of all our lessons in German Level I and II. Bernd Weeke MV has a background in marketing and advertising, working for many years at the highest level for international agencies as a coveted creative director.Since 2005 he started importing wines from Germany and Austria. Now his portfolio also counts wines from France, Switzerland, Hungary, Spain and Portugal.

He is a trained sommelier, wine teacher and certified vinologist. In 2021 he became Magister Vini (MV), the highest title in Dutch wine study (close to MW), graduating with a thesis on the future of PR and wine.

In 2016 he won the title of Best Vinologist of the Year. Bernd Weeke lives in Leiden with his wife Reina and cat Ro.

Born in Alentejo,the contact with nature and the renewal of the cycles always attracted her, and she soon surrendered to the exciting world of wine, with the first vintage experience held at Madeira Wine Company more than 20 years ago,  in her first internship as a student,

Maria Vicente fell irreparably in love with the wines! Winemaker,  Postgraduate in Oenology at the Biotechnology School of the Portuguese Catholic University, Level 3 Award in Wine at WSET, Graduate in Food Engineering, Member of the Tagus Chamber of Tasters, Member of  the Portuguese Oenology Association, and Member of the Jury of renowned National and International Competitions like Mundus Vini Wine Awards, Berliner Wine Thropy, etc

She is a regular Speaker in Seminars, Presentations and Classes.  Ran world presenting  wines and participating in several international Wine Fairs in Germany, Netherlands, England, Russia, Brazil, Angola, India, China and USA.

Julee Resendez

Julee Resendez

Julee Resendez, was born into the wine industry. A granddaughter of Washington State vineyard proprietors, she spent the summers of her youth tending the vines.

With a background in journalism and communications, Julee started her career in the hospitality industry with a great passion for wine. She developed the wine programs for New York City Michelin-starred restaurants David Burke, Bouley, and Marcus Samuelsson.

Julee spent 9 years working in corporate distribution, importing, and supplier.

Julee holds WSET Level 3, studied WSET Diploma, Certified Sherry Educator, and Certified WSET Educator.
She will take care of WSET III in english as soon as she finishes Diploma course in spring 2021.
