Our History

The history of Plansel International Wine School is deeply connected to the history of Quinta da Plansel and the Lindemann family.

It all began with the vision of Dorina Lindemann and Wilmy Matton, two indispensable figures in Portuguese wine, who believed that knowledge should be shared with the same passion with which great wine is made.

Over the last few decades, Quinta da Plansel has become one of the most recognized properties in the country for promoting Portuguese grape varieties, viticultural research, and the production of excellent wines.

It was precisely in this environment, surrounded by vineyards, tastings, harvests, winemaking, and tradition, that the school was born.

Not as a conventional classroom, but as a living place, a place where wine happens every day.

Today, Plansel International Wine School welcomes students of different nationalities and experience levels, establishing itself as an international reference in wine education in Portugal.
