Do I need prior experience to do WSET 2?

There are no mandatory requirements to enrol in the WSET Level 2 course. However, students who have already completed Level 1 may benefit from a more solid foundation.

To participate in wine tastings during the course, you must be of legal drinking age. However, even if you cannot taste, this does not prevent you from obtaining the qualification.

If you also wish to take WSET Level 1, you can enrol in both courses simultaneously and benefit from an exclusive discount by becoming a member of our community.

Are there wine tastings during the course?

Yes.
The sessions include guided practical tastings, with wines specially selected
to illustrate styles, grape varieties and regions.

Is the certification recognized in Portugal?

Yes.
WSET certification is internationally recognized and is increasingly valued by hospitality, restaurant, and distribution companies in Portugal.

How long is the course?

The WSET Level 2 course lasts for 3 intensive days (usually from 10 am to
5 pm), including training, tastings, and the final exam — all managed by Plansel International Wine School, an official WSET APP.
